❊ Everything on the WEB
I was a little more reassured about my direction of going on to the web after I chatted with Weiwei this week. There are still a lot of potentials on a website - even though it strips away the physical experience that a lot of technologies do (which was what I defined as problematic before), under these current circumstances, and considering my personal interests in graphic design, this will be a sweet spot for me to move forward.
I drew a lot of inspirations from a CIID's project Digital Body Language, and was in particular drawn to multi-modal designs. I know it is a last-minute pivot, but I am feeling better about this project in this direction, so I should just start to build it. I would love to have a live website that it actually works, yes, it will be challenging.
I started out with this basic prototype I transformed from my paper prototypes earlier and did some basic visual design on it(maybe I took one step forward on this, since the visual design has to follow the BRAND). I will do further edits on this, and come up with a cohesive visual design that both fit with the interactions and its personality which should include fun and engaging.
My next steps will be:
get in touch with some other people for user testings and feedback; brainstorm on the style / personality, and modes of interaction, aka features; explore various potential design and transitions / micro-interaction on web; figure out the Machine Learning part since it will include an algorithm that asks questions; look into coding resources.
Next next step:
Come up with a brand, and come up with a style. (I want to be a bit brutalist)
